Job Description:

Animal Medical Centre is private independent veterinary practice in North West London, where customer service is at the forefront of our standard of care. We are committed to offering high standards of veterinary care and have a loyal and varied client base, where pets are very much part of the family.

We are seeking a friendly, people-orientated person to join our reception and client care team, who is committed to the art of ‘the customer experience’ and strive to go above and beyond.

Duties

High-end customer service and managing customer expectations

Problem solving

Administration

Organising appointments, dealing with client queries either over the phone, via email or face-to-face

Managing client communication via telephone, email, social media

Liaising with clients and clinical team members to ensure the smooth running of our dog and cat reception areas

Dealing with transactions and queries on client accounts

Managing client accounts, including client pet insurance queries

Managing mechanise, food and special orders

Administration, dealing with insurance claims and client account administration including debtors

Overseeing the smooth running of or separate dog and cat reception areas as part of a team and independently.

Qualities

Veterinary receptionist experience preferable

Face to face customer service experience required

Database experience

Proficient in numeracy and literacy

Able to prioritise work, multi-task, have good time management skills, as you will be in a position of responsibility.

Be confident in working face to face with clients and their pets and not easily overwhelmed by busy and demanding reception desk.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to help people and their pets

You must have a proactive approach and appreciate and value the bond between pets and their humans.

You must have attention to detail and accuracy in your day-to-day work

You must be empathetic and able to deal with difficult and sensitive situations


Hours of work

Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00 or 11:00 to 19:30 on rotation

1:3 Saturdays 09:00 to 18:00 with a day off in lieu


Salary package


Starting salary £25,000.00 – 28,000.00 per annum depending on previous veterinary practice experience

28 days paid leave per annum
