Job Overview

We are currently seeking a professional, organised, and client-focused Receptionist / Administrator to join our Wigan office. This person will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and other stakeholders, and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day administrative operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Client Services:

  • Welcoming clients, visitors, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Answering, screening, and redirecting incoming telephone calls and emails efficiently
  • Managing appointment scheduling and meeting room bookings
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post, couriers, and document distribution
  • Maintaining a tidy and professional reception area

Administrative Support:

  • Providing administrative support to solicitors, paralegals, and legal staff
  • Filing, scanning, and managing confidential documents (physical and electronic) in accordance with GDPR
  • Maintaining accurate client and case records
Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (experience in a law firm preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
