Here at Sovereign Network Group we provide quality, affordable homes in happy, successful places. What we do makes a real difference to people's lives, and you'll share the satisfaction of doing something that really matters in a environment where your health and safety is important to ensure you and your colleagues stay safe and well, everywhere, every day.

We are now the 6th largest housing association by size - with almost 3000 colleagues, over 85,000 homes and over 200,000 customers across London and the South.

We're currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified FRACarpenter to join our Property Team in our Southampton/South Hampshire locality. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

You'll also benefit from:

  • £335 yearly Tool Allowance
  • Uniform & PPE
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (with an extra day every year up to 30 days)
  • Up to 3 x paid well being days and 2 x paid volunteering days per year
  • Chance to buy or sell holiday as part of our flexible benefits package
  • A van and fuel card for business travel
  • iPhone and iPad
  • Generous company pension scheme, matched up to 12%
  • Life cover 4 x annual salary
  • SmartTech - Buy an electrical item and pay it off through your salary over 12 months.

What you'll do:

As an FRACarpenter you will carry out fire risk assessment (FRA) related carpentry in our properties as part of our FRA Property Team and elsewhere depending on demands.

Duties include upgrading and refurbishing existing fire doors, building electrical meter cupboards, and ensuring all carpentry works meet strict standards for fire resistance and safety.

What you'll need:

You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 in Fire Door Maintenance and Repairs.

Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.

Enjoy working as part of a team.

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!

Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.

This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic DBS disclosure.
