Warehouse Manager

About Us

We’re a fast-growing e-commerce brand with a passionate customer community and a clear mission. Our warehouse is small but busy, supporting strong year-on-year growth. We’re now looking for a reliable, organised, and proactive Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day running of our warehouse operations and team.

This role is key to bringing structure, consistency, and leadership to daily operations, enabling the Founder to focus on strategy and the continued growth of the brand.

The Role

This is a hands-on management role in a small but fast-paced warehouse environment. You’ll lead from the front, working alongside the team on picking, packing, dispatch, stock handling, and all other daily warehouse activities, while ensuring operations remain organised, efficient, and on schedule.

You’ll take full responsibility for people management, including holding regular one-to-one meetings with warehouse and logistics operatives to review performance, attendance, and wellbeing, and resolving any operational or people-related issues promptly as they arise. You’ll be expected to set clear standards, address issues early, and maintain a consistent and accountable working environment.

You’ll also be expected to use your experience to review, improve, and implement operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across both the warehouse and office. This includes identifying inefficiencies, introducing clearer ways of working, and ensuring processes are documented, followed, and continuously improved as the business grows.

This is an active, on-your-feet position, not a desk-based role. You’ll be physically involved in daily warehouse tasks, including lifting and moving stock and working at pace. Occasional weekend overtime may be required during peak trading periods such as Black Friday and Christmas.

We’re looking for someone who can manage the warehouse independently, keep operations running smoothly with minimal day-to-day oversight, and act as the clear point of leadership on-site. Reliability, punctuality, and consistency are essential for success in this role.

You’ll work closely with the Founder to align priorities while confidently managing daily warehouse operations autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations and a small team
  • Lead from the front, actively participating in picking, packing, dispatch, and stock handling
  • Manage inbound stock: receive deliveries, verify quantities, organise stock, and report discrepancies
  • Manage outbound fulfilment: oversee picking, packing, labelling, and courier dispatch
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with warehouse and logistics operatives, managing performance, attendance, and wellbeing, and resolving issues promptly as they arise
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts
  • Plan daily workflows and delegate tasks effectively
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, well-organised, and operating efficiently
  • Liaise with couriers and resolve shipping or delivery issues
  • Communicate proactively with the Founder on priorities, timelines, and operational challenges
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency
  • Open and close the warehouse, ensuring it is secure, organised, and prepared for daily operations

Preferred (but Not Essential)

  • Experience using Shopify, Royal Mail Click & Drop, or similar inventory/order systems
  • Experience improving warehouse processes or implementing new ways of working
  • Previous experience in a dedicated warehouse supervisor role

What We’re Looking For

  • A supervisor who leads by example and motivates the team
  • Someone reliable, punctual and committed to keeping standards high
  • A proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Someone who thrives in a small, fast-paced, dynamic business
  • Someone who brings consistency, structure and accountability to the team
