Job Description:

Are you passionate about promoting an inclusive and equitable learning environment for students? Do you have expertise in disability support and reasonable adjustments within Higher Education? If so, we have an exciting and immediate opportunity for you!

We are looking for a highly motivated Temporary Disability Adviser to join a dedicated Disability Advisory Team for a crucial 3-month period.

The Role:

You will play a key role in supporting our new and returning students, ensuring reasonable adjustments are identified, agreed upon, and recorded accurately. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with the Equality Act 2010.

You will:

- Provide advice and guidance to disabled students across the University on a wide range of support needs.

- Liaise effectively with academic and professional services staff, as well as students, to resolve adjustment-related issues quickly and professionally.

- Manage and update student records and CRM systems, maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

- Support Disability Services in maintaining and ensuring the University's compliance with legislative requirements.

What You'll Bring:

We are seeking a proactive individual who can hit the ground running and bring a student-centred, problem-solving approach to the team.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Strong knowledge of disability support and the implementation of reasonable adjustments in a Higher Education setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and handle complex, sensitive situations with tact and empathy.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities and a busy caseload with exceptional accuracy and professionalism.

- Familiarity with managing student records and using CRM systems is highly desirable.
