About the role

Booker Group are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person to join our Facilities team as a Receptionist in our Head Office in Wellingborough.  In this role you will provide an efficient reception service by answering and redirecting internal and external calls in a timely and helpful manner, displaying the highest standards of customer service at all times.  You will in addition undertake various administration tasks to support the team and the wider business

You will be responsible for

  • Operating the switchboard via a PC and keyboard
  • Dealing with people at all levels, including internal colleagues, visitors and contractors
  • Raising and managing purchase orders to ensure they are sent for payment in a timely manner
    Assisting with the personal parcel deliveries and collections
  • Managing and maintaining the reception inbox ensuring emails are dealt with efficiently and appropriately
  • Reporting of branch alarm problems to the relevant service providers
  • Managing and maintaining meeting room booking spreadsheet
    Resolving customer queries efficiently and appropriately
  • Weekly testing of fire alarms and supporting fire drills
  • Managing the weekly dry cleaning service
  • Reconciling and preparing banking
  • General administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required

You will need

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Experience of using a switchboard and a PC
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ideally SAP 
  • Knowledge of CATs
  • Experience of using MS Excel 
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach
  • Administrative experience
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and to work under pressure
  • To be a team player and build strong working relationships
